Missing Family In Alaska: Remains Found, Are They Answer To Mystery Of Missing Family In Alaska? [+VIDEO]

Missing family in Alaska- The questionable disappearance of a family of four in Alaska until now remains a mystery. However, there could be some hope that could link the remains found two miles from the family's apartment in Kenai to the missing family.

Alaska police revealed on a statement on Sunday that the remains and clothing found near the southern coast of Alaska matched the things owned by the missing family in Alaska. The remains were seen by someone driving on a trail in Alpine Drive and Borgen Avenue on Saturday, NBC News reports.

"A very preliminary scene assessment has revealed information that points to the Kenai family that turned up missing in May of 2014," police said in a statement. "Items that were observed at the scene appear to match items identified as missing from the residence."

No trace was left for the missing family in Alaska who all vanished in one day. Rebecca Adams, 23, two children, Michelle Hundley, 6, and Jaracca Hundley, 3, Rebecca Adams' boyfriend Brandon Jividen, a US Air Force veteran, 38, and their dog named Spark were last seen on May 27 at their apartment.

Since the day they went missing, no one could tell where the family was. A relative of the missing family in Alaska said that it's very unlikely that the family left without packing their things and their vehicles were also left outside their apartment, Fox News reported.

Since May of 2014, massive search was done to find the missing family in Alaska, but it only ended unsuccessful. This time, with the remains found, the Kenai Police Department is working with FBI officials in indentifying the remains.

With clue that the clothing matched the things owned by the missing family in Alaska, are the remains really that of the family of four who vanished in May last year?
