Inspector Gadget Trailer Is Here: Watch Netflix 3D Revival Of Beloved Cartoon! [VIDEO]

The beloved cyborg detective from the 80s is back with new adventures, but the new "Inspector Gadget" trailer shows that some things just won't change, however fancy the animation might get: the detective is still as clumsy and silly as he has always been, two adaptations later.

Last month, Food World News reported that Netflix would be taking on a few 80s reboots, including the one with the clumsy detective and a new movie about Paul Reubens' Pee-Wee Herman character - and now, as the show's set to appear on Netflix starting March 27, the first full "Inspector Gadget" trailer appears on YouTube!

As Slash Film reports, the new "Inspector Gadget" trailer shows the iconic 80s cartoon more than 30 years after its first release, with more updated animation in 3D manner - though much else has changed, and in this case being older definitely doesn't mean being wiser, as he continues to be just as incompetent.

According to Polygon, the awesome thing about the "Inspector Gadget" trailer is how it shows some of the classic cartoon's favorites returning for a new stint, including his niece Penny, her dog Brain and even his boss Quimby who, after all these years, continues to trust the forever incompetent and clumsy part-cyborg detective.

As Netflix Life reports, the "Inspector Gadget" trailer is a nice throwback to the old show, where his niece Penny solved every single one of the issues that arose while the Inspector took all the credit, as she was the one saving the day - and, of course, his job.

The new trailer shows the classic cartoon playing golf and being as out there as he always has been, following a beloved cartoon and even a live-action version starring "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" star Matthew Broderick in the late 90s.

Watch the "Inspector Gadget" trailer below and then go right to Netflix to start watching the new version!
