Johnny Depp dogs, Pistol and Boo left Australia for fear of being euthanized after Australia's agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce accused Johnny Depp of smuggling his pooches on his private plane. Left with no choice, Johnny Depp dogs were transported back to travel to Los Angeles on Friday evening.
According to Australian officials, Johnny Depp violated bio-security regulations for bringing his Yorkshire terriers when he came back to Australia to continue filming "Pirates of the Caribbean 5th Installment," CNN reported.
"It doesn't matter if Johnny Depp has been awarded sexiest man alive twice, it's time Boo and Pistol bugger off home," Mr. Joyce said.
Johnny Depp dogs remained at the actor's home in Queensland, where they were temporarily quarantined before they were fled back to California by Private jet, where amounts to about over $400,000 for its rental costs. Johnny Depp dogs departed Coolangatta Airport on the Gold Coast.
SMG reported that Department of Agriculture officer escorted the Johnny Depp dogs to the airport where were they were issued with pertinent veterinary authority and export documents for them to be deported.
Johnny Depp dogs departure from Australia became headlines after Joyce warned the couple, Depp and his wife Amber Heard that they must send their pooches back to California or they will be in line to be euthanized, NBC News reported.
Australia has stern quarantine regulations on animals traveling to the country to avoid spread of rabies and other diseases such as ehrlichia, leishmania, leptospirosis and internal and external parasites.
For pets to be brought into Australia, proper documentations must be secured by the owner. The dogs must also be quarantined for at least 10 days upon arrival.
Johnny Depp dogs became the center of attention when several images of the Yorkshire terriers spread online. Since then, Joyce didn't stop bombarding the pets to be taken out of the country.
