B.B. King Poisoned By Agents, Daughters Claim

The death of legendary musician BB King is allegedly intentional, with his own agents giving him poisonous substances, according to his two daughters, Karen Williams and Patty King. The blues artist passed away May 14.

The heirs accused business manager LaVerne Toney and personal assistant Myron Johnson for poisoning their father to death. Patty even witnessed Johnson administering oral drops with unknown ingredients.

"I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances," according to an affidavit released by the Associated Press

The personal assistant was also by BB King's bedside when he was pronounced dead at his Las Vegas Home, The Independent reports. No family members were even present.

Toney is in-charge of the musician's estate and she will be executing the inheritance of some of BB King's heirs, amounting to "tens of millions of dollars."

"The family is sticking together to oust Ms. Toney based on her illegal conduct, conflicts of interest and self-dealing," said lawyer Larissa Drohobyczer, who represents Williams and King. She accused Toney's 'misconduct and failure to attend to the artist's medical needs as the cause of his passing.

BB King's estate lawyer, Brent Bryson objects this claim and finds these ridiculous, saying the monitoring medical professionals were attending to the artist until he passed away in his sleep.

"This is extremely disrespectful to BB King. He did not want invasive medical procedures. He made the decision to return home for hospice care instead of staying in a hospital. These unfounded allegations have caused Mr. King to undergo an autopsy, which is exactly what he didn't want," Bryson told AP.

Bryson hopes BB King's heirs have a "factual basis" for these allegations, as police officers investigate further on the singer's body.

When asked for her statement, Toney tells AP receiving allegations from BB King's family is nothing new.
