Adam Sandler Rose McGowan: Did Happy Gilmore Get ‘Charmed’ Star FIRED Over Sexism Accusations?

Earlier this week, one of Marilyn Manson's most famous exes made a tweet showing a casting sheet she'd just been sent, prompting Adam Sandler's Rose McGowan scandal, as the actress exposed sexist behavior in his upcoming film - and the "Charmed" star ended up getting dropped over her comments!

It's hardly the first time that someone exposes sexism in Hollywood, but the Adam Sandler and Rose McGowan story raises the alarm to a whole new level, as the actress ended up being dropped by her acting agent after having called out this practice in the film industry.

As previously reported, the Adam Sandler and Rose McGowan controversy first began last week, when the 41 year-old actress tweeted a casting call for one of Sandler's movies, where women trying out for the role were required to show cleavage.

Today reports that the Adam Sandler and Rose McGowan controversy continued last Thursday, when the "Scream" actress took to Twitter once again to say that, following her first remark on Twitter accusing Sandler of hosting a sexist casting call for a female role, her "wussy" acting agent had actually fired her.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, though, it wasn't the Adam Sandler and Rose McGowan situation that prompted the actress' agent, Sheila Wenzel, to back from representing the star, but rather she had already quit a while ago and didn't go public until a few days later.

In fact, Innovative Artists, the company representing McGowan, had been notified that Wenzel was leaving on June 16 through a company memo, but it wasn't until McGowan's tweet that her departure became known - and before the agency fired McGowan.

In the meantime, Variety reports that a representative for Sandler's production company Happy Madison, has stated publicly that the "SNL" alum and his team weren't aware of the casting director's note, and they felt it'd been inappropriate and would halt sending it after the Adam Sandler and Rose McGowan incident.
