Thor: Ragnarok ,Producer Kevin Feige Comments on Director Rumors

Marvel characters will be suiting up for Captain America: Civil War film, with  a near-certainty that Thor will shut his powers down for the party. Thor will be seen again until his next solo film, Thor 3: Ragnarok. The third solo adventure for Thor was pushed back from July 2017 to November 2017 making room for Spider-Man joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hiddleston and Hemsworth fans are getting impatient, as there were no words yet who will be directing the Thor: Ragnarok. Kevin Feige Marvel Studios President talked at the press day for Ant-Man, and touched on Thor 3. Feige says, "probably towards the end of the summer we would announce a filmmaker and a writer. May be the same person, I don't know, may be two different people."

Recently Kenneth Branagh attached himself to direct Fox's Murder On The Orient Express, but rumor has it that Marvel has their eyes on him to return to Thor: Ragnarok.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that's just inaccurate speculation of the original "Thor" director Kenneth Branagh and talks of him to return to the franchise.

When Feige was asked about director Branagh's potential return, Feige told Collider: "Not true," Feige added, "I don't know where that came from."

Branagh however told The Hollywood Reporter months before the current rumor began to spread, that he wouldn't mind returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe someday saying, "I fondly remember good times working on Thor,'" Branagh added: "So you always look to repeat that kind of thing, and if it happened again, I'd be delighted."

In addition to the movie, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) will step down from the antagonist's throne, and more powerful supervillain is rumored to be introduced in Marvel's upcoming "Thor 3: Ragnarok". Thanos will be the main reason behind Asgard's fall in the franchise. The third installment which is slated to open in cinemas in November 2017.
