Nicky Hilton's wedding to a Rothschild sounds like something right out of a 1940s headline, but the affair will be quite modern as the two heirs tie the knot and with that cement a new dynasty born from two of the richest and most iconic families in the world.
According to The Daily Mail, Nicky Hilton's wedding will take place on July 10, with the heiress and designer wearing a couture Valentino gown that reportedly cost ₤50,000, which is approximately $77,000, while her diamond engagement ring alone is estimated to be worth approximately $1.5 million.
Considering that Nicky Hilton's wedding will see her become a part of Europe's biggest and most traditional banking family, of course spending will be through the roof, with E! Online reporting that the couple's wedding registry totals about $28,000, with a few eccentric items shining through, such as four John Derian lamps at about $1,300 each.
According to Hello! Magazine, while there’s still no Nicky Hilton wedding list out, some of the people attending a dinner party in Spencer House in St James' before the big night were supermodel Naomi Campbell and Prince Harry’s ex Florence Brudenell-Bruce, besides the couple’s family.
Also, rumor has it that Lionel Ritchie, father to family friend Nicole Ritchie, might be joining in the reception as a wedding singer – all night long!
As for royals, it’s unknown whether Prince William and wife Kate Middleton will be attending Nicky Hilton’s wedding, even if the reception is being held at their home.
