Kindle Fire HD vs. Nexus 7 Display Comparison Something to Look At, Literally

With the holiday shopping season of 2012 just around the corner, people are hunting for the ultimate gifts and the hottest devices on the market.

In hopes of helping buyers searching for a 7-inch tablet, and seeing the tight competition between devices in this segment, we are taking a look at the displays of the top selling 7-inch tablets, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7 and the Google Nexus 7.

Kindle Fire HD vs. Kindle Paperwhite Tablet Comparison, Important To Think About if You Are Buying

The two devices have some apparent differences when it comes to hardware. Google packed a quad-core processor into the Nexus 7, giving it some serious calculating power, while the Kindle Fire HD features the highly sought after micro-HDMI port, enabling you to mirror the device at full resolution on a high-definition TV-set.

When it comes to displays however, both of the devices look to be the same on paper. There is no real telling if one is different from the other, with both having a 7" WXGA 1280x800 IPS LCD display and a pixel density of 216 pixels per inch.

It is when you turn them on you notice that the Kindle Fire HD has a warmer color production, with richer tones and vibrancy over the Nexus 7. Both displays are sharp however, and get the job done even under outdoor conditions, providing sufficient clarity.

Just keep in mind the pros and cons of the two devices, that what you are looking for might not be in the other.
