Woman Suing Shake Shack For $2 Million

Shake Shack, popular New York-based burger and custard chain, is being sued for $2 million.

The suit was filed by a woman named Cindy Cirlin last week after being allegedly attacked by a dog that was leashed to one of the restaurant’s chairs. According to court papers, she is claiming that Shake Shack "was negligent in its failure to protect [Cirlin] from the anticipated dangers of allowing dogs to be attached by leashes to its flimsy and unanchored chairs."

All locations including the Upper East Side location are known for canine-friendly, even offering dog biscuits.

Shake Shack has been sued in this July by Robert Shapiro for bidding to open a location in the Grand Central terminal.

Currently, the restaurant has total 17 locations, seven of them are in New York City, and the first one was opened in Madison Square Park in 2004.
