The happy personal news adds to what has been quite a year professionally for the couple, with Rossum's turn as Fiona on Showtime's 'Shameless' continuing to add to Emmy Rossum's net worth, and Esmail's work as the creator of USA's buzzy drama 'Mr. Robot' making it a breakout year for him.

Emmy and Sam actually made their debut as a couple in June 2014, at the film’s premiere.

Luckily, it sounds like he’s just Emmy’s type though. Emmy told Cosmopolitan in 2014 about what kind of man she is attracted to. “I don’t gravitate to the jock; it’s the nerdy guy in the corner,” she said. “Writers are sexy.”
