Another explosion occurred in China on Monday. The chemical factory responsible for the blast is found in an industrial zone in Lijin, Dongying City - in the Chinese province of Shandong.
The website of Dongying News - operated by the Dongying city government - claims that the factory exploded at approximately 11:22PM local time on Monday. The fire was finally extinguished five hours later, as per CNBC.
According to RT, the fire "produced hundreds of thousands of ton of adiponitrile - a toxic colorless liquid which releases poisonous gases when it reacts with fire, local media reported."

There were no immediate reports available regarding injuries and casualties. However, a state-run local news website reported on Tuesday that one person has been killed from the incident.
Shandong Binyuan Chemical, located in the Lijin Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone, runs the factory that exploded. Six of the company's executives have been detained while the explosion is still undergoing investigation.
The Mirror UK reports that this is not the first explosion to occur in Shandong. The previous blast injured eight people, which occurred just a little over a week ago.
The first chemical plant explosion in Shandong was caught on video, which shows a huge explosion along with some flames. The plant is located in Huantai County, which is less than one kilometer away from a residential area.
The explosion also triggered a fire, which prompted at least a dozen firefighters to rush to the scene. Not only that, but the blast's impact was so strong that it was able to break windows nearby, "and could be felt as far as two kilometers away."
This recent blast is just three weeks shy after the chemical warehouse explosions in Tianjin reported earlier in August, which left a massive crater. In addition, the area explosion in Lijin is just 190 miles away from Tianjin.
