Hershey Wants To Reach $10 Billion Mark By 2017

Michele Buck, SVP and Chief Growth Officer at The Hershey Co., is setting the chocolate companies goals extremely high. According to Forbes, she wants the company to reach the $10 billion mark by 2017, a 50% increase over the $6.6 billion in revenues it posted last year.

Unlike other leading candy brands, Hershey's offers does not just provide their consumers with sugar and chocolate treats. They also have a theme park located in Pennsylvania. It may not be as popular or marketed like Disney Land or Disney World but it is an attraction that brings in tourists. The park offers guests a chance ride roller coasters, as well as other fun rides. Hersheypark allows guests to indulge in sweet treats, experience dinner with theme park characters.

The park offers reasonable prices in terms of food options. For just $13.75 per person a family gets to choose the time and place of their meal through by making a reservation. They also obtain a 32 ounce souvenir cup with 99 cent refills throughout the year.

In the past couple of years, Hershey's introduced new products such as Reese's minis, which are a tiny version of the regular sized peanut butter cups. They also released Hershey's drops which come in two different flavors, Milk Chocolate and Cookies 'n' Crème.

The Hershey Co. stock seems to be increasing; as of today it is $85.25 per share. The company prides itself on providing consumers with what they want. They released Hershey Simple Pleasure, small delightful chocolates that are 30% less fat than leading milk chocolates. Their website collaborated with popular weight loss company, Weight Watchers to show customers how many points they would be consuming per serving of the new chocolates. Six pieces of chocolate contain 180 calories and 8 grams of fat.

They also have a section of their website dedicated to healthy living. It contains healthy recipes, tools that will achieve balanced diet and tips on how to balance work and life.  Michele Buck set high standards for the companies' sale goals however they do have a rising stock, a theme park and an attractive website.
