Earlier this year, when Taylor Swift announced the "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" actress had joined her latest video, "Bad Blood," true fans of the pop singer realized the star had made one of her dreams come true - is it time for a new step for Mariska Hargitay and Taylor Swift?
As fans of the hitmaker know, Swift has two cats, named after her two favorite television characters, namely Olivia Benson (Hargitay's character in "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit") and Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo in "Grey's Anatomy"), and both actresses co-starred in the clip for her massive 2015 hit "Bad Blood" - and it seems Mariska Hargitay and Taylor Swift may have become friends since.
According to People Magazine, the 51 year-old daughter of Jayne Mansfield has recently spoken about a continuous Mariska Hargitay and Taylor Swift collaboration, announcing insanely exciting news for television: Taylor's going to be in an episode of "SVU"!
"We just talked about it," the actress told Entertainment Tonight Online recently, when asked about a possible Mariska Hargitay and Taylor Swift collab in the small screen. "We're going to wait until the end of the [1989 World] tour to see how it goes. But it's in the air."
So while official plans for a Mariska Hargitay and Taylor Swift TV collab will have to wait for a few more months, this could be great news for fans of the star and the show - and it hasn't kept Hargitay from joking about the whole thing, as she says the crew's thinking of naming a squad room cat "Taylor"!
Zap2It reports that, a short while after Swift introduced the world to her cat Olivia Benson, Jonathan Strauss, the casting director for "SVU," went on Twitter to ask the singer if she'd be up to guest-starring on the show.
It seems like we'll be getting Mariska Hargitay and Taylor Swift together once more!
