It has been said that the massive success of the Australian singer and songwriter Sia came from her unique artistry, as the Chandelier hitmaker became the enigmatic artist in the music world.
The artist that started her career as a singer in Adelaide City in South Australia's acid jazz band Crisp, said that she's having fun playing around with her image and insists on having the power to influence the public with what they can perceive with their eyes.
The Grammy-nominated artist, said, "People say, 'Enough of this s**t where she doesn't show her face," and 'It's a gimmick.' For sure. I'm trying to do this differently, for serenity," Sia also said, "And it's a fun game for me as well. I have nothing to lose. But of course I want to be loved. So when people say, 'Show your face, you're not ugly.' I want to say, 'I know. I'm not doing it because I think I'm ugly; I'm trying to have some control over my image. And I'm allowed to maintain some modicum of privacy."
The singer has a reputation for not showing her face in magazine spreads,while she performs and on the red carpet events,and she seems to ignore all of the speculation and curiosity that comes along with this.
However, an official documentary of Sia is in progress, for people who wants an up close and personal glimpse at the singer.
According to MTV, the upcoming Untitled Sia Documentary Project, has Sia and her husband Erik Anders Lang co-directing the project. The documentary, which is currently in pre-production, will allow people to look forward to "a never-before-seen look at the Grammy nominated performer's life."
The big factor that Sia has decided to move forward with her documentary, is that Sia and her husband are part of helming the project. Where the singer has full control over what is included and what she wants to present to the world in the documentary.
