‘Fuller House’ Netflix: Juan Pablo Di Pace Cast As Kimmy Gibbler’s Ex Husband, Will Olsen Twins Finally Come Back For Sequel?

For months, "Fuller House" on Netflix, the sequel to beloved 1990s family series "Full House," has been making headlines as most of the original cast members (except Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley) have announced they'll be reprising their roles, but this is the first time a new actor has been revealed: Kimmy Gibbler's ex husband.

As it has been previously reported, Andrea Barber will reprise her role as Kimmy, the nutty childhood best friend of DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure) in the gender-switched sequel to the show, where a recently widowed and mother-of-three DJ will move in to the old San Francisco home with sister Steph (Jodie Sweetin) and Kimmy on "Fuller House" on Netflix - only this time around, Kimmy's got a kid and a "passionate" ex husband!

According to Deadline, the "Fuller House" Netflix sequel, currently being shot in California (and keeping Cameron-Bure's schedule pretty hectic along with "The View"), has just hired an actor to play Kimmy's ex: Argentine actor Juan Pablo Di Pace, best known for playing Nicolás Treviño in another revival, the 2012 show "Dallas."

Latina reports that, before being hired to be on the "Fuller House" Netflix series, the South American star most recently played the role of Jesus in "A.D. The Bible Continues," an NBC mini-series that aired earlier this year, and tells the story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.

In the past, Di Pace has also worked on "Mamma Mia!" with the likes of Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Christine Baranski and Amanda Seyfried.

According to Cinema Blend, Di Pace's role in "Fuller House" on Netflix will see him playing an exceedingly passionate man who completely blew it with Kimmy but still wants a second chance, which is why he "relentlessly" pursues her throughout the show, as he's set to be a series regular in the highly awaited revival.

The release date for "Fuller House" on Netflix is still unclear - except for the fact that it'll be some time in 2016!
