Sofia Vergara Highest-Paid Actress: 'Modern Family' Actress Earns $30 Million in TV and Endorsement Deals

Sofia Vergara is the highest-paid TV actresses for second consecutive year, Forbes magazine reported on Wednesday.

The Colombian-born actress surpassed Emmy and Golden Globe-winner Mariska Hargitay of NBC's "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" and Kaley Cuoco, a star of CBS's "The Big Bang Theory." 

Both actress are tied for second with $11 million. 

According to Forbes, Vergara earned and estimated $30 million. Vergara has found success on ABC's TV comedy "Modern Family". 

"As the reigning queen of celebrity endorsement deals (thanks largely to her bilingual portfolio), Vergara's earnings over the past year reached $30 million, making her far and away the highest-paid actress on prime time," Forbes.com said.

The 41-year actress has branched outside of acting with endorsements deals from PepsiCo Inc's Diet Pepsi, and Proctor & Gamble Co's CoverGirl. The actress also has clothing and home goods lines sold at Sears Holding Corp's retailer Kmart. 

Sisters Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian shared the No. 4  spot, each earning $10 million. 

The sisters are sharing the No. 4 shot with actress Melissa McCarthy, who made it big in the film "Bridesmaids," a film that grossed about $288 million at the global box office, and in "The Heat" with Sandra Bullock. McCarthy also stars in CBS's "Mike & Molly".

Talk show host Bethenny Frankel, "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo and "30-Rock" star Tina Fey also share the No. 4 title, each earning of $10 million.

Amy Poehler, a first timer on the list, was No. 13. The "Parks & Recreation" star earned $7 million and also signed a book deal.

According to Forbes, the list is estimated by earnings based off the actresses' TV work, endorsements, residuals and advertising work between June 2013 through June 2013. Forbes also talked to agents, managers and lawyers. Forbes estimated that the top 20 actresses and reality stars earned a combined total of $183 million.
