Ruben Studdard Will Lose Weight, But Not His Hair Back, 'I Think Everything About Me Is Sexy' (VIDEO)

Ruben Studdard, may be the heaviest contestant on this season of NBC's "The Biggest Loser" but the former "American Idol" winner is not lacking in self-confidence, proclaiming that everything about is sexy, including his taco meat, back hair.

In a clip form season 15 premiere, the "Sorry 2004" singer is seen standing up to trainer Jillian Michaels after she tells him he needs to wax his hairy back.

"We're going to have to wax that back of yours, I'm telling you right now," Michaels said. "It's not even [just] back hair, there's an inch-and-a-half of shoulder hair! That is totally unacceptable."

Studdard immediately struck back.

"Jillian is a hater," he said. "I don't appreciate that! I think everything about Ruben Studdard is sexy.

"Let me tell you something. That's the real man in me," Studdard, a former college football player turn R&B crooner, said. "That's what's wrong. Y'all have womanized men. Back in the day, artists would have their taco meat showing on album covers and everybody like. I'll bring the real man back."

The 35-year-old is also seen recovering from tough workout by taking an ice bath. The singer said he is serious about his weight lost this time.

"I've never has an issue with my weight," Studdard told People Magazine. "But my family has a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart-related issues; things I didn't have to deal with yet because I'm young."

The singer said he's previously trained with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson in 2006, but it did not pan out the way he hoped. The singer was attempting to lose weight with an intense workout with Peterson while consuming around 1,200 calories per day.

"I was losing weight, but I was exhausted. It was making me sick," he told People in 2006. "I'm a big man. There was no ways to do these workouts on that amount of food, so everything was contradicting itself."
