Why Playboy Will No Longer Publish Nude Photos Of Women

Playboy has announced that they will no longer publish nude photos of women as a part of the reinvention of the male magazine.

The said decision was made by the 89-year-old Playboy founder Hugh Hefner which is also the current editor-in-chief. The verdict came last month during a meeting and according to the magazine executives, the choice will made the entertainment magazine parallel to modern thinking.

According to Newsweek, the main reason why Playboy is abandoning pictures of nude women is because it offers boredom to most of the male readers.

In terms of competition, the American men's lifestyle and entertainment magazine cannot top its modern porn rivals. The styles of Playboy in seducing men were not that strong today compared to the yesteryears. Its pin-up style of nude photos is now considered boring and old fashion when compared to the violent and hard-core photos now trending on the Internet.

As an entertainment magazine, Playboy also faced some issues and conflicts against the community. History of the semi-nude magazine shows that they were accused of offering moral degradation to the community and also provided a threat to the heterosexual family.

Feminists were also against the said industry, who interpreted the photos as sexist and corrupting. During the conservative 1950s, the male magazine faced one of their major problem which is about attracting large companies thru vulgar advertisements that caught the attention of the citizens.

With all these happenings, Playboy said that it was a "battle" that "has been fought and won".

As of the moment, Playboy just can't stand anymore to its rivals on the internet which is offering more exciting porn photos.

Playboy's chief executive Scott Flanders said that even if the redesign magazine is now denuded, they are still aiming to target men specifically "the guy with a job", which make their business quite different from most of the men's entertainment magazines.
