Cassandra Lynn Hensley Dead: Playboy Playmate Found Floating In Bathtub, Overdose Suspected

Cassandra Lynn Hensley, Playboy magazine's Miss February 2006, is dead at age 34.

According to Us Weekly, Hensley's body was found floating in a bathtub at her friend's Los Angeles home Wednesday. Paramedics were unable to revive her at the scene.

"It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Cassandra Hensley's passing from a tragic and accidental overdose," a representative for Hensley's family said in a statement. "We are all very grateful for the outpouring of support from friends, family, and fans. During this time, we ask for respect and privacy as arrangements are made to celebrate the life of a wonderful and loving mother, wife and friend."

The friend, who reportedly found Hensley's body unresponsive in a bathtub, performed CPR while the paramedics responded.

Investigators reportedly believe the playmate died of an overdose; no foul play suspected. CNN reported that an L.A. coroner Lt. Joe Bale has performed an autopsy, but still needs to perform a toxicology test to determine cause of death. Result may take several weeks to process.

Hensley was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley area of Utah, Us Weekly reported. In December, during an interview with Metropolis Nights magazine, Hensley opened up about life after Playboy.

"Yes, there is life after Playboy, I have been a part of many great experiences: travel shows, magazine covers, and of course giving advice to young impressionable girls who think they need to act a certain way for a chance to be a model (classy not slutty)," she told the magazine.
