Airbnb Integrates with LiveRez to Make Waves in the Vacation Rental Industry

Airbnb's recent integration with LiveRez, a US based software platform, is about to change the vacation rental industry.

Airbnb is a company that has thrived in locations such as New York and San Francisco. However, Oakes reported that it lacks in terms of traditional vacation markets, including Orlando and Hawaii. In short, these vacation rentals are inherently different from the traditional Airbnb bookings.

As a result, they formulated a methodological approach that would pinpoint the reasons why professional managers weren't kin on using Airbnb. They started a new division that focuses on vacation rental owners and managers. This is how their partnership with LiveRez began.

Out of the 87 different software platforms used by professional vacation rental managers, Airbnb chose to LiveRez.com. On the other hand, Airbnb is the only vacation rental company that LiveRiz has said "yes" to. With this integration, Marcus Oakes, spokesperson of LiveRez said, "the inventory Airbnb is getting for this new market is coming from LiveRez."

Oakes further explained that the company is expected to have over $1 billion in transactions by the end of 2015 since it facilitates and controls a huge amount of vacation rental listings and inventory.

LiveRez is therefore a vital B2B company since it "provides the backend software solution for vacation rental owners and managers," Oakes wrote in its exclusive Food World News communication.

Airbnb is a vacation rental site that offers spaces for those who are looking for short-term deals. LiveRez, on the other hand, is a company that does not directly reach out to customers. Thus, it is a bit off the radar on some respects.

It can be recalled that on Wednesday, Expedia announced that it has decided to purchase HomeAway for $3.9B. The acquisition would make HomeAway in direct competition with Airbnb.

With the acquisition of HomeAway by Expedia, the background of the LiveRez/Airbnb partnership "would be very timely and present something that is not otherwise being explained well in the marketplace," Oakes said.
