Gwyneth Paltrow Chris Martin: Coldplay Frontman Opens Up About Divorce Months After Jennifer Lawrence Split

Last year, the world saw the introduction of the coldest term for a breakup with "conscious uncoupling," prompting not only shock over the split between longtime couple Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin but also more than a few eyebrows over the terminology - now that everything's set and both have moved on, the Coldplay frontman finally speaks out about his divorce.

In an oddly revealing interview from the usually very private musician, the "Paradise" singer spoke about what life was like as Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's marriage neared an end - and things weren't as fine and dandy as they may have made it seem.

The British musician recently sat down to chat with Australian radio station 2DayFM recently as "Rove & Sam" debuted, finally addressing the Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin divorce now that he's in a better place, after dating another blonde American Oscar winner, Jennifer Lawrence, and currently going out with Annabelle Wallis.

"A few years ago I was in a low place in my life and was feeling kind of down and confused," said the singer, via E! Online, when addressing life ahead of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's split. "Some friends gave me a book called Man's Search for Meaning, and a poem called 'The Guest' House by an Afghanistani poet, teacher, and those two things started me off on this whole journey that's ended up a few years later now where I just feel so happy to be alive."

As Entertainment Tonight Online reports, even after the Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split, the two have continued not only to co-parent but even to spend time together even as they're both seeing other people (Paltrow's dating "Glee" and "American Horror Story" producer Brad Falchuk), with Martin even dropping by Paltrow's birthday party a few weeks back.

In any case, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin continue to set the example as the most civilized former couple in Hollywood!
