Jane the Virgin finally chooses between her two lovers Rafael and Michael.
Gina Rodriguez, playing the role of the virgin mom Jane chose her ex-boyfriend Michael whom she broke up before because he lied to her. The father of her baby Rafael is left broken hearted.
Though many were happy with the decision of the titular heroine, some were also surprised of it. The maker of the show Jennie Urman explained the reason behind Jane's choice. According to the showrunner, the main character of the American comedy series dumped Michael because he lied to her. When Jane found out that her mother also lied about her father's identity, she came up with a realization.
Urman explains that Jane the Virgin chooses Michael over Rafael because she learned that the former is the one who truly loves her. Michael's devotion to her has been unwavering.
"Oh, my God, it's Michael! And this accidental insemination threw everything off. I was grappling and trying to figure it, but it's here right in front of me," Jane thought according to Urman.
Urman also wants to explore more about the characters of the TV series. The showrunner wants to know what will happen if the fantasy between Jane and Rafael fades away.
The writers of the show are aware that many will be disappointed with the sudden turn of events but they are hoping that he viewers would agree on the happiness of Jane the virgin.
The creators of the hit series are not also closing the possibility of Jane and Rafael getting back together. A lot of things can still happen. Considering that the two characters share a child as a product of accidental insemination of the sperm of Rafael to Jane, they will always have a connection.
Of course, Rafael will not just give up on Jane. He will surely do something to win her back.
