Apple may release an all new iPhone 6C this coming 2016, according to reports. Recent news states that the new iPhone C series may face lesser problems compared to the previous iPhone 5C.
In a short message posted in Weibo, Director Kevin Wang of the HIS Technology Researcher stated that Apple is planning to release an all-new 4-inch iPhone 6c in mid-2016.
Dr. Wang is the second analyst to predict the possibility of Apple to launch a new series of iPhones in 2016. Earlier this month, it can be remembered that Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities primarily delivered a prediction concerning the plan of Apple to launch a 4-inch iPhone in the year 2016.
Aside from having a 4-inch display, some rumors also reported other specifications about the upcoming phone. Accordingly, the said phone will be a plastic iPhone while others said that its design case will be made of metal. According to 9to5Mac, the rumored phone will look just like an upgraded iPhone 5s.
In terms of performance and features, rumors state that it will be almost the same with the latest iPhones. The device will be powered with an A9 processor and will feature a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and even a 3D Touch pressure sensitive screen just like the latest iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted that Apple will be shipping 20 to 30 million units of these iPhone 6c by the end of 2016.
As what had reported by ZDNet, the launching of the rumored iPhone 6c will be much different compared to the previous iPhone 5c. It can be remembered that lower spec 5c was launched together with the iPhone 5 and 5s. Because all the phones were in a 4-inch display, most of the customers chose the device with the higher specs making the launching of iPhone 5c quite a failure.
The launching of the potential iPhone 6c will be considered as a smart strategy if it will become a reality.
