‘Green Coffee’ Diet Products Dealers Made Settlements With Federal Officials

Charges against several companies connected with green coffee diet scandal have been settled with federal regulations.

Dr. Mehmet Oz advertize what he discovered on his show in 2012. And it was the fat-burning capability of the green coffee bean extract. The green coffee extract has been used as a weight-loss supplement and as a component in other weight-loss products.

But there are some companies have used Oz's discovery to just acquire a big profit from "green coffee" products. Actually, after a week Oz advertisement was aired, a supplement relating to diet called Pure Green Coffee has been launched.

And the companies at the back of Pure Green Coffee have come up into a settlement with Federal Trade Commission for the alleged use of bogus news sites that constructs confusing, unreliable and unproven claims. Also some of those entities have used Dr. Oz Show's videos just to increase their sales and income.

Federal watchdog have settled charges with some business that capitalized on the green coffee diet craze. Some of the concerned companies that are in the agreement are NPB Advertising, Nationwide Ventures, JMD Advertising, Olympic Advertising, Sermo Group and a number of other companies and individuals.

The intended agreement would block the defendants from deceiving work and practices they are accuse. The transaction would also require a $30 million ruling that will possibly be suspended if the entities sell particular assets.

What the FTC has done is a piece of effort attempting to clean up the dietary supplement industry by law enforcement. The commission has sent warning mail to 20 companies on Tuesday over potentially confusing publicity.

USPLabs, a creator of popular dietary supplements, has received fraud charges filed by the Department of Justice.

Oz was interrogated last year by some lawmakers regarding his promotion of weight-loss products. He just responded by condemning some of his medical detractors because of conflict or interest earlier this year.
