'Game Of Thrones' Update: Why Are Sansa Stark And Jon Snow In Winterfell With Ramsay Bolton And Littlefinger? [SPOILERS]

It's beginning to look like Sansa Stark's story arch might finally get more substance in the sixth season of 'Game of Thrones!'

[SPOILERS AHEAD]

The eldest (and only known surviving) daughter of Ned and Catelyn Stark was last seen jumping off the gate of Winterfell with Theon Greyjoy to escape the wrath of Ramsey Bolton. Since actress Sophie Turner has been spotted on the 'Game of Thrones' set in Ireland, it's safe to say that Sansa had survived the jump and may even be planning to get back at her cruel husband.

It was previously reported that Sophie Turner was seen at the filming of the Battle of Six Armies involving several Northmen, the wildlings and the Boltons. In addition to being in the battlefield, Sansa Stark may also be a part of an important scene that is currently being shot in Winterfell.

According to Watchers on the Wall, a local source has confirmed that a pivotal scene will be shot in Winterfell's courtyard. The scene will call for a meeting between Petyr Baelish aka Littlefinger, Ramsey Bolton, Sansa Stark and Jon Snow, who has been quite active despite his recent alleged death.

But what could possibly compel Sansa Stark to return to Winterfell and face Ramsey Bolton? There are speculations that it is a strategical move to distract the Boltons, since the scene also involves a giant forcing his way into the gates.

It sounds like Sansa Stark may be working closely with Jon Snow in the sixth season of 'Game of Thrones,' since he is the only remaining half-brother (or cousin) who can help her reclaim Winterfell. The eldest Stark daughter might even have the claim to be the Queen of the North, if she manages to defeat the Boltons.

What will happen to Sansa Stark? Find out when the sixth season of 'Game of Thrones' airs on HBO in spring 2016.
