Peaches Geldof Death: Writer and TV Presenter Dies Aged 25

Peaches Geldof, the daughter of musician Bob Geldof, has died at the age of 25.

According to ABC News, Geldof death was confirmed by her father, Bob Geldof, who released a statement on Monday on behalf of their family.

"We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh," read the statement today. "What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."

BBC News reported that police were called to a Kent, southeast England residence Monday afternoon, after receiving a report of "concern for the welfare of a woman." The woman was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance services.

"At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden," Kent Police said in a statement. The cause of her death has not yet been revealed.

Geldofhad, who has been active as a model, television presenter and fashion writer, had been known to struggle with substance abuse in the past; similar to her  mother, Paula Yates, who died of a drug overdose in 2000.

"'Yeah, I've taken drugs. Yes, I have had experiences, and a few of those experiences were unsavory, not ones I want to repeat, but I was growing up. I wanted the experience," Geldof told Guardian, during an interview in 2009. "I wasn't hugely into drugs, and I'm sober now. I'm not Amy Winehouse. I never have been. I wasn't a crackhead."

Geldof leaves behind two young sons, 23-month-old Astala and Phaedra, 11 months. Along with her husband, musician Thomas Cohen and is survived by her sisters, Fifi Trixibelle and Pixie and her half-sister, Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof.

"My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday," Cohen said in his own statement. "We shall love her forever."
