Sharon Stone Reveals She Lost the Ability to Read Due To a Brain Aneurysm

Sharon Stone revealed that she once lost her hearing and ability to read after suffering a brain aneurysm.

The 57 year old actress appeared on the The Late Show on Wednesday and revealed to the talk show host Stephen Colbert that she's an avid reader by saying "I'm a bookie" and she's a smart girl but unfortunately she lost her ability to read after she was hospitalized in 2001 and had to face some challenges.

Stone revealed she had a "massive nine-day brain hemorrhage." And recalled "I lost some of my hearing in my right ear for a while. I lost my ability to read for a couple of years. I lost feeling in my left leg to my knee, I couldn't walk at first. I couldn't write my name for a very long time...I stuttered."

After she recounted her experiences she advised the audiences, "So don't have one."

The host also showed Sharon's past daring photos. The former Playboy model candidly said, "Well I was wearing a necklace." When asked how she found her "confidence" to do the daring photoshoots, the 'Casino' star said that the key is "accepting yourself." She continued by saying "By the time you're in your 50's you gotta like it...then what? I think if you're gonna like others you've got to like yourself." She also admitted that she had some help with her photoshoots and that is air brushing.

Sharon previously revealed to Harper's Bazaar that because of her brain hemorrhage she forgot her storylines during the filming of the 11th season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2010.

She recalled the incident to the mag and said it was "humiliating." Sharon admitted that the brain hemorrhage caused a negative impact on her life. But she managed to bounce back and is currently in the TV spy thriller called Agent X.
