Fast Food War: Burger King Will Offer 10 Chicken Nuggets For $1.49

In a bid to win the ultimate fast-food war, Burger King has increased the stake by introducing chicken nuggets once more.  It seems that Burger Kind doesn't want you to go back to McDonald's and brings back the ultimate deal breaker:  10 chicken nuggets for $1.49!

Yes, you heard it right.  For the third time, Burger King whipped out its ace to conquer the market after its initial promo in October 2014 turned successful.  As reported in Consumerist, the chicken nuggets will only be offered at participating locations for a limited time.

"We always want to bring our guests the best-tasting food at a great value, so this deal is a big win for everyone," said Eric Hirschhorn, Burger King's chief marketing officer of North America, in a statement.

CNBC reports that earlier this week, McDonald's unveiled plans to herd customers through its doors.  The McPick 2 for $2 will let customers mix and match two items from a limited menu, which includes McDouble, McChicken, small fries and mozzarella sticks, for only $2.  Promo runs from January 4 to February 8.

Meanwhile, Wendy's which is the third biggtest US burger chain based on revue, has doubled McDonald's offer with four for $4 value meal.  Customers can enjoy Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, four-piece chicken nuggets, fries and drinks for only four bucks.

This promotion is expected to drive sales as Goldman analysts upgraded the chain's shares to "buy" from "neutral" last Thursday.  Quoted in the report are as follows:

"[W]e see a comp acceleration on the back of the 4 for $4 promotion disproving the thesis that a resurgent MCD means a 'zero-sum' game. WEN sounded very positive on the promotion on a recent field trip, and our own checks with competitors/franchisees and Google search trends are also encouraging," wrote Goldman in a note to investors.

Will Burger King chicken nuggets for $1.49 withstand the different offers of other players in the fast-food industry?  Which of these deals will you go for?  Or will you try all of them?  If you like the article, don't forget to share on Facebook.
