Could Chemotherapy Make the Disease Worse?

Cancer is a health ailment triggered by the development and distribution of abnormal cells. Next to heart disease, it is known to be the second leading cause of death in America. Around 585,720 Americans were predicted to die in 2014 while 1,665,540 were anticipated to be diagnosed with it in the same year an addition to more than 13 million cancer patients from the 2012 record.

With the increasing rate of people acquiring and dying from it, treatments such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, biological therapies, bisphosphonates and bone marrow and stem cell transplants are all being considered by cancer patients. Due to a growing number of people having cancer, some may ask about their effectiveness. Chemo Kills, a website claims about the bad effects of Chemotherapy, one of the most common cancer cures, in one's health.

The website feels that the doctors are lying to patients when they tell them that they will die in six months without chemotherapy. "With these lies they murder an estimated one million a year for profit," Chemo Kills stated.  The site believes that instead of providing healing, chemotherapy makes the disease worse.

Chris Wark, a blogger and chemo-free cancer survivor, when asked why he chose not to undergo chemotherapy stated, " I believe that in some cases surgery makes sense; to get as much cancer out as possible and give your body a jump start in dealing with whatever cancerous cells are left. In other cases surgery can cause the cancer to spread. It's a bit of a gamble. My reasons to reject chemotherapy were: It causes permanent damage throughout the body, destroys your immune system, It is a highly toxic carcinogen that can cause secondary cancers throughout the body and the reports of its effectiveness are grossly exaggerated."

A few doctors also contradicted what most of the physicians tell their patients when they recommend chemotherapy. Dr. John Cairns, professor of microbiology at Harvard, released his idea about this treatment in Scientific American in 1985. "That basically the war on cancer was a failure and that chemotherapy was not getting very far with the vast majority of cancers," Cairns stated.

For Wark, the most effective way to fight against cancer and as what worked for him was changing his lifestyle and diet. "One very powerful approach is converting to the Raw Vegan Diet to alkalize, detox, and flood your body with the nutrients it needs to heal itself," Wark stated.
