Paula Patton has called it quits with RnB singer and husband Robin Thicke. The actress left the singer after eight years of marriage and twenty three years of being together. A sad ending for the two who were childhood sweethearts and one of the few Hollywood celebrity couples we admired.
Paula Patton reportedly just had enough of Thicke. Despite his stunning vocals and easy going character, the smooth RnB singer was quite a handful and rightfully so. The singer was blasted by accusations of infidelity earlier on after a woman at a night club alleged he was all over her (a picture of his hands on her behind exists), then came the infamous Miley Cyrus twerk performance, the endless partying, an alcohol addiction and now a monster court battle with Marvin Gaye's family over the 2013 smash hit "Blurred Lines." The two were already having trouble staying happy together as it was. A split seemed forthcoming.
According to the two, they "mutually decided to separate." However, details emerging show one party was far more willing to leave than the other.
Just a day before their much publicized split, Robin Thicke was spotted in Disneyland with their four year old son still wearing his wedding ring. He was photographed smiling and laughing with his son and having a good time, showing no signs of distress.
It is also reported that the singer cancelled all his recent performances to travel to Vancouver, Canada to convince his estranged wife not to leave. According to sources, the two sat down for a long time but could not agree on staying together. The 38 year old Patton was in Canada shooting her latest movie.
The infidelity rumors seem to have gotten the better of the actress. Asked on whether he was an honest man, Thicke replied: "No. That's why I'm separated. I told my wife the truth. That's why she left me."
