Pizza Pie Treat: Pizza Hut To Offer Free Pizza For Mathematicians

For all the mathematicians and mathematics lover, Pizza Hut has launched a unique campaign. This Pi Day, customers can be the lucky recipient of 3.14 years of free pizza from Pizza hut.

Unfortunately, the treat is not for everyone else.  Since March 14 is a special day for math enthusiasts, hence this will be available only for those who are good at mathematics, and can solve complex problems easily.

"Nobody knows 'pie' like Pizza Hut, but this March 14, Pizza Hut is dropping the "e" in honor of Pi-3.14-everyone's favorite irrational number," Pizza Hut said in a blog post announcing the promotion.

Pizza Hut has enlisted the help of Princeton's Professor Emeritus John H. Conway to create three math problems, ranging in difficulty from high school to Ph.D. level, according to The Daily Meal.

For the first person who can answer all the three problems correctly, 3.14 years of free pizza awaits, which is approximately worth US$ 1,600.

The questions will go live on Pizza Hut's blog at 8 a.m. on Monday, March 14. Contestants will have until midnight the same day to complete the test and provide possible answers in the comment section of the blog.

The Pizza Hut will announce the contestants about their answers and if they have actually won the treat, at which point they will have to collect their gift cards within 24 hours, according to Fox News.

"Pi may be irrational, but the free pizza is anything but," Conway said in a statement. "I'm eager to challenge America with these problems and find the next great pizza-loving mathematician that can solve them."

Thus, on this International Pi Day, it is yet to be seen who can be irrational enough to win the treat of 3.141592653... from the famous Pizza Hut.

Stay tuned for the updates of the same throughout the day, and for the latest winner of the grand pi treat on the International Pi Day!
