MSR Outdoor Cooking Pot Recall

As it warms up, we start thinking of camping again, which means cooking near an open flame without your medicine cabinet nearby. What's the Problem With These Outdoor Cooking Pots?

The issue lies with the pot handles, which can detach or become loose. This poses a risk of scalding yourself with hot food or liquid as you pick up the pot. The CPSC has received reports of 22 incidents, including two injuries, related to this issue.

What Should You Do If You Have One Of The Recalled Pots?

When you're in the great outdoors the last thing you need is to find an emergency room for second-degree burns so first, please check your gear before you go hiking. If you realize you own one of these pots, do not use it in any way. Thankfully, getting a replacement part is a straightforward process. You can contact the manufacturer at 800-531-9531 or visit their website. There, you'll find directions on how to receive a replacement handle.
