Lena Dunham Twitter: ‘Girls’ Star Cancels Tour Dates After Sex Scandal With Younger Sister Grace

Lena Dunham's Twitter has been the actress and writer's primary outlet medium after the press has attacked her over a story on her new collection of personal essays, "Not That Kid of Girl."

A regular in the social media scene, Lena Dunham's Twitter is always a good way to know what's going on with the Golden Globe winning actress.

These days, the woman who plays Hannah Horvath in the HBO series "Girls" has been in the middle of a lot of bad press, after the pressed leaked some apparently misquoted passages from her book "Not That Kind of Girl," in which she reportedly admitted to having had an inappropriate encounter with her toddler sister when she was a little girl.

The controversy that spawned Lena Dunham's Twitter rage started last week, after conservative blog Truth Revolt accused the star of sexually abusing her sister. In the piece, the actress' book is quoted as a proof of her supposed misconduct, in a passage that says that she inappropriately touched her sister Grace when she was 7 and her kid sister was 1 year old.

According to the site, the excerpt proves that the actress is a longtime child molester, an idea that obviously infuriated her. Lena Dunham's Twitter was the first place she came to with her anger about the accusations she was being a subject to, causing people to stir up - both on her side and on the opposite.

In a recent article by The Daily Beast, the site promoted the idea that perhaps feminists were growing tired of the actress. She has recently had problems with the press, after she was attacked by many over the fact that her television show "Girls" didn't feature any minority characters at all, showing a very one-sided and biased New York.

In the meantime, Lena Dunham's Twitter wasn't the only place the actress used to vent her frustration with the press - she also released a statement through TIME Magazine, stating that she did not condone any kind of abuse.

In the midst of the controversy, has also canceled two tour dates for her book: one in Belgium and another in Germany.
