Apparently, Lisa Wilkinson, his co-host, got remarks often about her outfit. She even did a segment on how some viewers criticized her wardrobe choices, People noted.
Meanwhile, Karl Stefanovic never got commented on in that sense. So, he came up with this idea to wear the same suit for a year as an experiment. See what would happen.
He didn't wear the same exact clothes in all regards, though. He did wear the same suit, but he traded the shirts and ties, KFOR reported. The only people who were aware about this experiment were Wilkinson and a producer, apart from Stefanovic, obviously.
The issue now is that the year has come to an end and the remarks never came. No one noticed about Karl Stefanovic wear the same exact suit for a year.
In fact, Wilkinson revealed the stunt that they pulled with Karl Stefanovic on the "Today" show. She told people that he'd been wearing the same suit and nobody batted an eyelash in all that time.
"I'm judged on my interviews, my appalling sense of humor - on how I do my job, basically. Whereas women are quite often judged on what they're wearing and how their hair is," Karl Stefanovic shared and CBS News noted.
Well, this is definitely one of those times when a point has been proved successfully. It also gives a lot to think about, so the "one year with the same suit" experiment certainly made changes, even if the suit didn't.
