Baggage handlers stealing iPads and other things must not come as surprise. However, what Miami-Dade police revealed through a never-before seen video will still be shocking! Thieves like Baggage handlers stealing iPads were caught off-guard after evidences show what they are doing while on-duty.

Baggage handlers stealing iPads in passenger's bags while on plane and in the airport were caught. There were also security guards tolerating them and they were also reported, the WKBN reports. The never-before- seen video procured by CNN shows Baggage handlers stealing valuables of passengers.

 "A lot of times, there is no other response other than shock that they were caught. That's OK with us. As many of them that we can take off the airfield, the better it is for everybody that travels through Miami International Airport," Lt. Peter Estis of the Miami-Dade Police Department stated.

It has been reported that Baggage handlers stealing iPads and other pricey items was the most common reason for missing items around the airport. For the recent five years, there were roughly 31,000 passenger claims of items that were reported stolen from their luggage filed under the TSA.

The CNN report shows that more or less 25,000 of the 31,000 passenger claims of items were valuables missing from the time they were checked in, the WGGB reports.

What's more serious here is that Baggage handlers stealing iPads and even TSA officials had been busted for theft since the Miami-Dade police started their sting investigation. Around 500 TSA officers were apprehended for stealing and all of them were removed from their posts.

Baggage handlers stealing iPads and other pricey belongings are very rampant and every passenger must be vigilant in securing their luggage during check-in.  All in all, reports showed that valuables missing due to theft in the airport amounts to $2.5 million.
