Victoria's Secret Under Fire Over Retouching Lingerie Model's Curves Away

Victoria's Secret received a major social media backlash over its "Truly. Madly. Cheeky" lingerie ads for allegedly photo shopping the already thin model's curves away.

Victoria's Secret is known for its super-svelte models, however, many potential buyers noticed how poorly the editing team of the company edited photos of already-thin models.

The controversial photo was originally published on Sept 25, which was used to promote "cheeky" lingerie. The pic shows the model with her back on the camera, wearing nothing except for the black underwear. Many noticed how poorly the editing was executed, as her thighs and butt seem to appear as though much of the "cheeks" were removed.

Many social media users saw and reacted with how the Photoshopping was"horribly" done and totally unnecessary.

One observer posted on the company's comments box and wrote, "Man, why can't they just leave photos alone? I can see removing a distracting mole or pimple but that should be it." This is according to Business Insider's report.

Another commenter wrote, "Her left butt cheek is missing and a chunk out of her right arm"

While other consumers saw the photo editing offending, others found it funny or a joke, including Model Molly Fletcher. She told FOX411 that the image was a funny looking pic.

"This photo actually made me laugh the first time I saw it. There's light retouching that usually happens on all photos which is understandable, however, this goes way too far." Fletcher added the image "isn't even about representing an attainable size, it's more like a really poor retouching job."

However, Craig Lawrence, President of ONE.1Management disagrees with the critics, according to News.com.au. He said that the photo was not retouched "as the girl does not look too thin."

"I think the photo is very alluring and sexy, which is what VS is trying to achieve," he added.

Victoria Secret hasn't released any comment yet about the controversy.
