Ingredients 
 8 ounces (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
 1/2 cup shortening
 5 eggs
 2 cups dark brown sugar
 1 cup light brown sugar
 3 1/2 cups cake flour
 1/2 tsp baking powder
 1 cup milk
 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
 2. In a large bowl, using electric mixer, cream together butter and shortening.
 3. Gradually add sugar one cup at a time, continuing to beat. Beat in eggs one at a time.
 4. In another bowl, sift flour and baking powder. Add in the flour mixture alternately with milk.
 5. Stir in vanilla extract; mix well. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
 6. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes; transfer to a wire rack and cool completely.
