Bubble Tea or Boba Tea originated in Taiwan in the 80s. Bubble tea is a cold drink, made with tapioca pearls. The pearls are heavy and sink to the bottom of the cup. Bubble tea is served with a large straw for slurping up the pearls. Most bubble teas are fruit or tea based.
