Fans of "Breaking Bad" have gotten a little bit of the joy of the meth-cooking duo that made the Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul show a hit over the past few months, after the release of the AMC prequel of the show - and now, the "Better Call Saul" season 1 episode 9 marks the proximity of the season finale.
Interestingly enough, the "Better Call Saul" season 1 episode 9 marks the appearance of a known "Breaking Bad" set: it appears to be the parking lot of the hospital where Brock (Ian Posada), the son of Jesse's girlfriend Andrea (Emily Rios), was recovering after being poisoned.
In "Breaking Bad," this spot became something of a plot point as Walter and Jesse watched it from a distance with binoculars, after Walter had planted a bomb on the car belonging to Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito), though then Walter's nemesis failed to go back in the car - as the same parking lot appears in the "Better Call Saul" season 1 episode 9, does this mean the episode will finally show the first signs of a connection with popular character Gus Fring?
"Chuck wants Jimmy to accept a harsh truth. And Mike's ability to complete a job is questioned," is the "Better Call Saul" season 1 episode 9 synopsis, according to International Business Times. The episode's name is "Pimento."
Earlier this month, Jonathan Banks, who plays Mike Ehrmantraut, told Entertainment Weekly that the "Better Call Saul" season 1 episode 9 featured an interesting bit of comedy for Mike, a character that's usually fairly stern - apparently, the new episode will feature a lighter note involving pimento cheese, which is surely where the name of the episode comes from.
The UK's version of the International Business Times reported that Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, the showrunners for the series about lawyer Saul Goodman/Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), have stated that there are a lot of surprises left in the two remaining episodes of the first season.
