Elizabeth Banks is mostly known for her comedic roles (even in darker dramas such as the dystopian Jennifer Lawrence saga "The Hunger Games"), but she's more than aching to prove to the world that she can expand further in a heavy and gritty drama - and things look promising in the new "Every Secret Thing" trailer.

Co-starring grown-up child star Dakota Fanning, rapper and actor Common (who recently won an Oscar for the original song from Martin Luther King biopic "Selma" alongside John Legend) and Oscar-nominated actress Diane Lane, the story deals with a detective who is hunted by her failure to save two kidnapped young girls years ago - until a similar crime pops out, prompting her to act once again, in spite of her traumas.
