Nvidia Technology Teaches Cars To Drive

Nvidia now creates a technology that cruises cars on Autopilot mode. Nvidia's Drive Px computers system creates  a 360-degree view of the road and and analyzes driving conditions. The technology integrates a real-time video of a driver's parameters, captured by 12 vehicle-mounted cameras. Car manufacturers including Aston Martin, Tesla, Rolls Royce have been receiving the shipment of the technology earlier this month. According to RCR Wireless News, cars with this technology will have a built-in Tegra X1 support system and a 1.3 Gigapixel per second throughput at up to 60 frames per second while driving.This gives the automobile the ability to analyze between other cars and distinguish ambulances and police cars as well.

Nvidia's advanced driver assistance systems, the Drive PX is a form of computer intelligence akin to the design of  the human brain. In a video shown in the United Kingdom by Nvidia's senior manager Jonathan Cohen, the technology showcased how the video captured by the car-mounted cameras, distinguished vehicles, pedestrians and other road technicalities. He added "Because this is a neural network, we've shown it lots of examples of these 40-mile-per-hour limited speed signs. Somehow it has learned to recognize the speed sign even though it hasn't seen these signs before. This is the power of neural networks and the power of deep learning." 

Nvidia developed this artificial intelligence technology called deep learning. It is the very concept and brain in the internet  that provides speech recognition and natural language translation. Establishing the same kind of technology in cars is seen to improve the way of driving and perhaps lessen road related accidents.With that kind of innovation,people can drive their cars safely.

Developers, universities, and automakers can purchase the Drive PX for $10,000. Nvidia's director of automotive operations Danny Shapiro noted that, before consumers can buy the cars a lot of training and testing should be done.

"We're going to be able to create a system that infers things like humans infer things," Shapiro said.
