Ezra Miller Might Star in Harry Potter Spinoff 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them'

Ezra Miller is turning out to be one very busy actor.

Just a few months after landing the coveted role of Barry Allen in the upcoming 2018 DC film 'The Flash,' Miller might also star in the highly anticipated fantasy movie 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.'

Variety reports that the 'We Need to Talk about Kevin' star is currently in negotiations with Warner Bros. for the role of Kredan in the Harry Potter spin-off movie.

The film is about Newt Scamander, who sets off to New York to find magical creatures to include in his book. Kredan is one of the people the magizoologist encounters during his journey.

If a deal is made, Miller will star alongside Eddie Redmayne, who has been cast in the lead role as Newt Scamander.

Katherine Waterston has recently joined the cast as Tina.

Warner Bros. is still looking to fill two lead roles for the film. Alison Sudol was recently reported as a favorite to play Tina's sister Queenie, while Michael Cera and Josh Gad are being considered for the role of Jacob.

'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them' is based on the book by J.K. Rowling, who is also writing the screenplay for the film. The author recently spoke about the film, stating that it is not a Harry Potter prequel.

"Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the 'Harry Potter' series but an extension of the wizarding world," Rowling said of the movie.

Miller recently starred in the biographical thriller 'The Stanford Prison Experiment' as one of the college students who enlisted in a psychological study that goes terribly wrong. He will portray Justice League member Barry Allen in the upcoming film 'The Flash,' which is scheduled for release in 2018.
