London Has Fallen Trailer: Gerard Butler is Back in the Olympus Sequel

London Has Fallen stars Gerard Butler and is back as U.S. Secret Service agent Mike Banning, Butler is up again in action when terrorists attack London during the funeral of the British prime minister. The film's initial release will be October 2, 2015 USA. Babak Najafi directed this upcoming American action thriller film.

Nu Image is the production company of the 'Olympus Has Fallen' sequel, and is written by Creighton Rothenberger, Katrin Benedikt, Christian Gudegast and Chad St. 'London Has Fallen' cast are Gerard Butler (Mike Banning), Aaron Eckhart (President Benjamin Asher), Morgan Freeman (Speaker Trumbull) and Angela Bassett (Secret Service Director Lynn Jacobs).

On Wednesday, the first trailer for 'London Has Fallen' was released by Lionsgate UK.

'London Has Fallen' unfolds in London where under unknown circumstances the British Prime Minister dies. The leaders of the western world are obliged to attend his funeral. The said to be highly protected event, terrorists make a deadly plot to kill the world's most powerful leaders, and the British capital's landmark will be devastated releasing a most terrifying vision of the future.

The world only depends on three people to stop the terrorist attack,the President of the United States, Gerard Butler a formidable Secret Service head, and an English MI-6 agent who works independently.

The cast who will reprise their roles from the original movie are Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, and Melissa Leo.

When released in theaters on March of 2013, Olympus Has Fallen went on to gross $161 million worldwide, and the sequel could garner more box-office numbers basing on its trailer.

The trailer however has been hit by rampant Twitter posts and as one user tweeted: "I think maybe a week off the 10th anniversary of 7/7 may not be the time to release the London Has Fallen trailer..."

Another said, "Anyone finding the promotion of #LondonHasFallen a toooouuuuucchhhh insensitive with the 7/7 10th anniversary coming up?"

London Has Fallen will be released on January 22, 2016.
