Tunisia Terrorist Attack: Russell Brand Has Been Slammed Over His Disrespectful Comments

The UK will fall silent today to pay tribute to the victims of the Tunisian beach massacre last week.

The Queen will lead the minute of silence, as people will come together as well as the Prime Minister in memory of the victims of the Tunisia terrorist attack. Flags will be flown at half- mast over Whitehall and Buckingham Palace as a sign of respect for the victims.

But for Russell Brand, the minute of tribute according to him is an "empty, hollow gesture and it's a minute of bulls***."  ." For he is blaming the Government of UK for the loss of the lives of the 38 tourists.

On his YouTube channel, he expresses his thought about the heartbreaking news.

While sitting at the edge of his bed, the actor said, 'There's no point in having a minute's silence on Friday - it's a minute of bulls***."

The comedian blamed the Government for the massacre, saying that the Government has no interest in finding a solution, instead they are just interested in the profit they can gain.

He said, "As long as during that time, they [the Government] continue to sell arms, they continue to bomb foreign countries - they have no interest in a solution."

"They are only interested in perpetuating the problem and continuing to profit from it."

Then he pointed out, if people want to show their respect towards the victims, they should demand the Government to stop "carrying out foreign wars."

"If you respect those people then demand that your Government stops selling arms to countries on its own human rights abuse list, demand that your government stops carrying out foreign wars on behalf of corporations."

"It will have a lot more impact than a minute's silence."

"Now what's the truth behind their terrible Tunisia massacre? "On Friday we'll be holding one minute's silence."

"Does that mean anything or is it just an empty, hollow gesture, part of a general policy of bulls***, so that our government can continue selling arms around the world and perpetuating a cycle where its own needs are met."

Brand's comments have been slammed in social media, for viewers think that he is disrespectful towards the victims. Others even think that he just opens his mouth without even thinking and he should just keep his political view to himself.

It was July 7, at the El Kantaoui resort, when Seiffedine Rezgui opened fire at helpless victims at the beach. The atrocity claimed 38 lives, including 30 UK nationals.
