Jaden Smith, Son of the famous stars', Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith is celebrating his 17th birthday. Will gave a comment about his son's birthday and said, "Jaden is 17 years old today. I"m just glad he stopped eating paste!"
That was the proud dad"s rather awesome message-coupled with an adorable throwback pic of little Jaden Smith chillin' in what looks like a bird cage or other elaborate hanging chair-on the occasion of his son"s 17th birthday Wednesday. While Will's greeting was a short and funny message, Jaden's mother, Jada Pinkett Smith had a more heartfelt message to her son. "To my son," began the only-a-mother-could-know message posted on Facebook. "Today you are 17. It was on this day a tremendous gift was delivered to me. Jaden Christopher Syre Smith (born July 8, 1998) is an American actor and rapper. He is the elder brother of singer Willow Smith and younger half-brother of Trey Smith. His first movie role was in the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness, with his father. He has also appeared in the remake of the hit movie, The Karate Kid as well as starring opposite his father in the movie After Earth.
Smith's father, Will, revealed that his son sought an emancipation ruling, with the consent of his parents, as a fifteenth-birthday present. Will revealed to the media that Smith's primary motivation is the establishment of his own residence and also explained that his children are not subject to strict parenting conduct: "We generally don't believe in punishment. From the time Jaden was five or six we would sit him down, and all he has to do is be able to explain why what he did was the right thing for his life."
