Jesse Eisenberg Compares Comic-Con to Genocide

The crowds at Comic-Con are often encompassing and overzealous, as the participants to a "Game of Thrones" autograph session can probably attest to, but Eisenberg seems to have a wildly negative attitude about the whole experience. In fact, he compared Comic-Con to "some kind of genocide". "It is like being screamed at by thousands of people", says Eisenberg.Eisenberg sits on the far left. "I can't think of anything that's equivalent", he said. "But, on the other hand, there's only so much attention one person should get before it's overwhelming".

Jesse Eisenberg arrives at the LA Premiere of "The End of the Tour" at the Writers Guild Theater, on Monday, July 13, 2015, in Beverly Hills, Califorinia. He also opened up about the upcoming James Ponsoldt-directed flick, in which he plays journalist David Lipsky, and he couldn't help but take a jab at journalists and the media. "Yes I have never been on the other side, on your side of journalism. I have normally been the victim..." he said before revealing how he prepared for the role. "I interviewed him. He taught me how to interview and what his process is like and now I understand the pariahs that you guys are."

Eisenberg suffers from OCD (Obsseisive Compulsive Disorder) and is very open about it. He said of his condition: "I touch the tips of my fingers in a weird way; I don't step on cracks; if I'm going onto a new surface - be it carpet to concrete, or concrete to wood, or wood to concrete, any new surface - I have to make sure all parts of my feet touch the ground equally before I touch that new thing. So I'll often hesitate before walking into a new room."

Eisenberg is fond of cats and has been involved in fostering the animals. He is a vegan. Eisenberg came up with an idea for a simple wordplay website, OneUpMe, where people could respond to a daily wordplay topic in an attempt to "one-up" each other in the cleverness of their response.
