Stephen Colbert ‘Late Show’ 2015: YouTube Web Series Where ‘Colbert Report’ Host Lunches With Fans! [VIDEO]

Although it's still months away from its official early September premiere, Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" is already making headlines, as the "Daily Show" alum takes on YouTube ahead of his premiere on David Letterman's New York City spot to expand his audience from his former viewership.

While there are already many who can't wait for Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" premiere, the fact is that his previous show, the politically focused "The Colbert Report," was more of a cult phenomenon than a mainstream gig like his new position is, as he fills the shoes of a legendary comedian and host - but he's already showing off his own style months before officially starting out!

According to AV Club, as a way to get to know Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" audience, the comedian and talk show host has launched a new daily web series called "Stephen Colbert has Stephen Colbert's Daily Lunch with you, Starring Stephen Colbert," although he admits "Lunch with Stephen" is much more to the point.

As Vulture reports, the first episode of his web series, available on Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" YouTube channel, sees the comedian sharing one of his secret dreams, giving relationship advice and even sharing a story about a toucan on drugs, which is no less than what audiences expect of him!

"I am so excited to launch the late show coming this September, but before I do that, I want to get to know my audience just a little bit better," said Colbert, according to People Magazine. "I've already met some of you - Texas Jim, Harmonica Lou, Big Mama Jean. I hop a rail car to work everyday. I tell you, you cannot beat the taste of beans fresh out of the boot."

Of course, this new venture on YouTube is part of a grander campaign to have audiences tune in to Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" premiere next September; so far, other antics to show the new model for the show include a random interview with rapper Eminem and even an online game where the user can take on the role of Colbert.
