'Gangnam Style Vodka' is coming soon from a Russian company, Woobo International. The company registered the trademark "Gangnam -Style" with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office on Sept. 26 for use in three categories: action figures, vegetable-based snack foods and alcoholic beverages besides beer, according to Huffington Post.
Woobo International reportedly plans to promote a brand of vodka using the phrase "Oppah, Gangnam-Style."
The phrase "Gangnam Style" is a Korean neologism that refers to a lifestyle associated with the Gangnam District of Seoul, which is analogous to Manhattan of New York.
The phrase "Oppah" means "brother" in Korean which is analogous to "stud/hunk" in English.
The new 'Gangnam Style Vodka' is expected to become a hit with drinkers, not on Youtube.
