Tom Hiddleston Marvel: Loki Unsure Of MCU Return After ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Scene Was Cut!

Two years from now, in 2017, Chris Hemsworth will return to the big screen as the Nordic god Thor in the third part of the character's trilogy, sharing the screen with the likes of Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins - but is Tom Hiddleston's Marvel return as certain as his?

For now, Tom Hiddleston's Marvel involvement has included three films, two of which saw him as the main villain, namely "Thor" and "The Avengers," while in the second installment of the Hemsworth-led film "Thor: The Dark World," Hiddleston joined forces with his on-screen brother - but now it's unclear whether Loki will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In a recent interview with Coming Soon, of course Tom Hiddleston's Marvel future was questioned, as it's known that he actually had a scene scheduled in this year's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" alongside Idris Elba that was ultimately cut from the final version of the film; however, when asked whether Loki would be coming back to the MCU, Hiddleston seemed unsure.

"You know, I don't know," went Tom Hiddleston's Marvel comment. "I think I won't be able to help it if I ever play him again, and I just don't know when that's gonna happen, if that's gonna happen. I would never lose his dimension, but it's so interesting."

As Comic Book reports, the last Tom Hiddleston Marvel appearance saw him faking his death and usurping Odin's throne, so it'd be positively odd if he weren't around for any next appearances in Asgard.

Interestingly enough, in the original comic books, "Ragnarok" refers to an apocalyptic event that Loki sets up, so it seems unlikely Hiddleston won't be around tricking Thor for the millionth time over.

According to Outer Places, while Hiddleston's responses could just be set to throw off fans, as Loki is one of the most beloved characters in the MCU, things could get bad for Disney if Elizabeth Olsen's rumored boyfriend didn't appear in "Ragnarok" or "Infinity Wars."

Let's hope there's enough Tom Hiddleston in Marvel to go around in the next few years!
