It's pretty much a universal truth of fame that two celebs can't hang out without being accused of dating, but that seems to be especially true for Selena Gomez, who recently complained about the constant obsession with her love life.
Many are speculating that Selena Gomez is dating Charlie Puth, a singer and music producer whom Selena’s been hanging out with lately. However, on September 21, The 23-year-old singer sounded off on Twitter to nip the relationship rumors in the bud before they grew any bigger.
Anytime Selena is caught in the mere vicinity of another single person, she's immediately linked to them romantically. So when she posts a pic with another single-and-ready-to-mingle human, especially one who also happens to be famous, the Internet basically exlodes.
Selena posted a photo of her and Charlie, hanging out on a couch. Selena stares at the camera with her hand covering her mouth, while Charlie wears some sort of bag over his head, perched on the couch’s arm. “Before it begins, he is a good one,” Selena wrote alongside the photo. “He is MY FRIEND only lol.”

Shortly after, Charlie then reposted an adorable selfie with Selena along with the caption, “The realest and most down to earth person I know. good to know you @selenagomez your album is going to be incredible!”

And in case there was any doubt that these two are just friends, Charlie took to Twitter to clear the air, tweeting, "she's just my friend guys lol relax".

Charlie is just the latest gentleman to get caught in the Selena Gomez boyfriend crossfire. Earlier this month, Selena was spotted on a dinner date with her former Wizards of Waverly Place star, David Henrie. However, it appears that, just like Charlie, David is just a friend.
And then, of course, there's Selena’s lingering romance with ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber. The two have not been together for months, but many speculate that they are not yet over each other.
